I am a cyclist and CrossFit has helped my leg strength and endurance. Those big climbs have gotten much easier! My flexibility has greatly improved and my knees are much stronger. The coaches are awesome always making it fun!! I love all the functional and mobility training. I have met so many nice people of all ages!!!     I began my CrossFit journey in 2011. I dropped in with my sister who felt this would be a program I would enjoy. My sister who is a fitness instructor by profession has always influenced me with suggestions. Over time I had tried many fitness programs but nothing consistent. I was in my high 30's and over this time had been subscribed blood pressure, and cholesterol medication. My eating habits were horrible, and felt what fitness I did perform would offset my poor eating.
    Crossfit was now becoming a part of my routine, and not only was the fitness exciting to participate in, the friends, community, and connection to the coaches just increased my motivation to be at class everyday.
    Crossfit has been a life changing experience for me. It has improved my overall fitness, my health, and the way my family views nutrition, and fitness. It is always challenging, everyone continues to encourage me, and I look forward to encouraging others. This is why I continue to be excited to participate in each class after 4 years.

    On April 18th, 2014 I was convinced to simply TRY CrossFit. No obligations; just to see if I liked it. Little did I know that it would change my life. Everything started with a 20minute AMRAP of 200m runs with a partner. For some crazy reason I wanted to come back and I quickly joined Crossfit Polaris the first week of May.
    When I began I thought I was in shape and decently strong (at least for a girl) because I had been working out for a few years with my family 3-4 days a week along with playing tennis. Boy was I wrong! I couldn't do a pull-up, clean (besides my room) or however you do double-unders. But I knew I wanted to get better. I wanted to put in the work.
    Slowly but surely, I began to see improvements in all areas. I can do butterfly pull-ups, I can move some heavy weight, I can do double-unders. I have also developed lifelong friendships with so many adults and as an 18 year-old it's not typical to be such good friends with that kind of group. It's crazy how close you become to people you sweat with 🙂 I have truly found my calling with crossfit. I know who I am and who I want to be and not many people my age can confidently say that.

    I did not know or understand what CrossFit was until my two daughters joined and my wife who is extremely active wanted us to join. I was very nervous about starting. I had not touched a barbell in ten years and at age 55 with a history of high blood pressure and coronary artery disease, not to mention a pot belly I was a little intimidated about joining. The first day of our Fundamentals Course I fell in love with the place. It brought back a lot of the completive feeling of the past.
    Ten months after joining , my blood pressure is great , my pot belly is gone and we have made some new friends. We plan our week around which days we are going to class. The best part of Crossfit is that I look forward to working out again. Every day is a new challenge with a fresh work out.

    CrossFit Polaris has been instrumental in many of the changes I have made in my life since joining a year and a half ago. My health has improved tremendously and I have received numerous compliments from friends and even my family physician. This is a complete turnaround since receiving a diagnosis pre-diabetes. My physical fitness and nutrition have never been better. I have made gains in my general overall health and well being. Also the initial diagnosis of pre diabetes had been cleared by my doctor and this is due in large part to weight loss and physical activity.
    The coaches at CrossFit Polaris are knowledgeable and committed to the successes of its members. They have played a large part in the accomplishments that I have had. The workouts are well planned out and encompass all aspects of fitness. I don't even mind doing the cardio activities. The community here is second to none and I have truly enjoyed every moment even on the tough days.
